This HDMI splitter can accept up to 8K60, supports true VRR, works with PS3/Streaming boxes and is fully compatible with MiSTer FPGA, even in direct video mode. It’s got built-in downscaling for scenarios where one output supports 4K and the other only supports 1080p. And even supports CEC passthrough. This is now tied as my favorite splitter, along with the other I’ve been using for years. Here’s a link to the exact one I bought, with more info and OSSC compatibility info below the links:

While this is mostly a positive review – And this IS now tied for my favorite splitter – It’s not perfect. First, it doesn’t like weird “line multiplied” signals, such as SNES 5x from the original OSSC or Morph in it’s lowest latency modes. That’s pretty common though and obviously not the fault of the Morph or OSSC. That’s important to note though, as while it handled R-Type just fine in MiSTer’s lowest latency modes, if it had an issue with SNES 5x, it might have an issue with other odd retro signals. The RT4K didn’t have any trouble though and I even demo’d its true VRR mode in the video.
Also, while I like the EDID selection switch, there isn’t an EDID spoofing mode like with other splitters. Sometimes it was nice to just force a 4K/Dolby Atmos EDID, but that can be done with cheap EDID emulators.
Lastly, there’s no audio extraction. If you don’t need that feature, then you’ll appreciate the smaller case, since all that extra space isn’t needed. But if you rely on SPDIF audio extraction, my other favorite is for you!
