Every great crime saga needs a supporting cast as sharp as its leads, and GTA 6 characters deliver exactly that. Lucia and Jason may headline Leonida’s story, but it’s the world built around them that gives GTA 6 its texture: corrupt cops, nervous smugglers, rival gangs, and a rap duo climbing the charts.
Rockstar has now released two trailers, a 26-minute Extended Look, and the October 15 Launch Trailer, so the cast has grown well beyond the two leads. Here’s every character confirmed so far, separated from the rumors, organized and up to date ahead of the November 19 launch.

Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval: The Two Protagonists
Lucia and Jason are the central pair. Their dynamic is the engine the whole game runs on.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and Rockstar says fighting for her family is what landed her in Leonida Penitentiary. Sheer luck got her out, and she leaves with one rule: only smart moves from here. What she wants most is the good life her mom has dreamed of since the family’s days in Liberty City. She’s the first woman to lead a modern GTA story, and her performer is rumored to be Manni L. Perez, though Rockstar hasn’t confirmed it.
Jason Duval
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After a stint in the Army trying to shake off his troubled teens, he ended up in the Leonida Keys working for local drug runners, and the October 15 Launch Trailer has him admitting he got in some trouble in the Army and didn’t leave on the best of terms.
He lives rent-free at one of Brian Heder’s properties in exchange for helping with local shakedowns. His performer is rumored to be Dylan Rourke, also unconfirmed, and an earlier trailer sparked its own wave of fan thirst over his look.
Rockstar calls the pair partners in crime and in life, and the Bonnie and Clyde comparisons write themselves. In the Extended Look, control passes between them through most of the game: the swap is instant when they’re together and takes a few seconds when they’re apart, the character you’re not playing acts on their own, and some story missions lock you to one of them.
Stefanie
The woman questioning Lucia at Leonida Penitentiary in the opening seconds of Trailer 1 asks if she knows why she’s there, and Lucia puts it down to bad luck. Fans have taken to calling her Stefanie, a correctional social worker with the Leonida Department of Corrections, but Rockstar hasn’t officially named her or revealed who voices her.
The Keys Crew: Brian Heder and Cal Hampton
Jason’s immediate world in the Leonida Keys, one of several regions on the GTA 6 map, revolves around two figures.
Brian Heder
Brian Heder is a classic drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys, and he’s been around long enough to let others do his dirty work. He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, and Rockstar says Jason’s rent-free deal also means stopping by for Lori’s sangria once in a while. The Extended Look shows Jason sharing a cigar with him, a sign of how close the two are.
Cal Hampton
Cal Hampton is Jason’s friend and a fellow associate of Brian’s, and paranoid doesn’t begin to cover it. Rockstar sums him up with one question: what if everything on the internet was true? He feels safest at home snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers open, reading meaning into bird formations. He’s rumored to be played by former SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan, though Rockstar hasn’t confirmed it.
Vice City’s Entertainment World: Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, and Real Dimez
The Vice City side of the cast centers on a music and nightlife empire that sits somewhere between legitimate business and organized crime.
Boobie Ike
Boobie Ike is a Vice City legend who owns the Jack of Hearts strip club and has expanded into real estate and a recording studio, plus the label Only Raw Records, which he runs with Dre’Quan Priest. He’s the kind of character GTA does well: someone who built genuine wealth through a mix of hustle, charisma, and moral flexibility, and who still keeps one foot in the streets that made him.
Dre’Quan Priest
Dre’Quan Priest is Boobie’s partner in Only Raw Records. Rockstar calls him more of a hustler than a gangster: he dealt on the street to make ends meet, but breaking into music was always the plan. He got his start booking acts into Boobie’s strip club, and now that he’s signed Real Dimez, he’s setting his sights on the wider Vice City scene. All the label needs now is a hit.
Real Dimez
Real Dimez is the rap duo of Bae-Luxe and Roxy, friends since high school who turned running shakedowns on local drug dealers into a music career. They broke through on social media, scored an early hit with local rapper DWNPLY, and, after five years and a whole lot of trouble, have now signed with Only Raw Records, hoping lightning strikes twice.
The Criminal and Law-Enforcement Orbit
Not everyone Jason and Lucia deal with runs in criminal circles, and a few sit on the other side of the law entirely.
Raul Bautista
Raul Bautista is a seasoned bank robber Rockstar describes as always hunting for talent willing to take the biggest risks. Charm and recklessness define him in equal measure, and Rockstar warns his crew will eventually have to double down or pull their chips from the table. The Extended Look puts him in the getaway car with Jason and Lucia during a heavy police chase.
Méndez
Méndez is a Vice City Police Department officer who leads a task-force raid in the Extended Look. The raid hits a building tied to a drug operation run by San4San member Raymond, shortly after Ernesto calls to warn that the task force is coming. When a cornered San4San member tries to surrender, Méndez shoots him, and Jason and Lucia witness it from an elevator shaft. Fans have pegged him as a Tenpenny-style corrupt cop, but Rockstar hasn’t said so.
Andrés de León
Andrés de León is tied to Megamundo, a Spanish-language media conglomerate, and, in the Extended Look, Jason and Lucia are hired to protect him at the opening of Megamundo’s first US headquarters. The job comes through Valentina, his assistant, who is also a returning face from GTA Online’s 2025 Money Fronts update. It pulls the pair into corporate territory well outside their usual circles.
Petra Navarro
Petra Navarro is Megamundo’s Chief Operating Officer and the most polished face in this storyline. At the penthouse launch event, she asks Jason to bring Andrés downstairs for the opening speech, which turns into a hunt when Andrés is upstairs partying with friends. She’s the clearest look yet at the money and power sitting above Vice City’s street crime.
Phil
Phil appears in an Ammu-Nation commercial during Trailer 2, and he reads as a younger reimagining of Phil Cassidy from the 3D Universe games. Unlike the original Phil, this version has both arms intact: a small but pointed callback for anyone who remembers him losing one to his own Boomshine in Vice City.
Camilo
Camilo is a Vice City livestreamer whose hair, glasses, and “What do I do, chat?” energy read as a parody of Kick streamer N3on, though Rockstar hasn’t confirmed the inspiration. In the Extended Look, he’s filming a challenge from the trunk of his friend’s Buffalo when Lucia steals it, and he keeps streaming from the open trunk throughout the police chase along Shore Drive.
Background Faces of Leonida: The Unnamed Trailer NPCs
Beyond the named cast, several recurring faces from the trailers don’t have confirmed names yet, but we’re already tracking them closely since a few look built for bigger roles later.
- Selfie Guy: appears twice in Trailer 2, including a moment where he snaps a selfie with Jason and Lucia. Repeat appearances like that often signal a recurring role.
- Hammer Lady: appears holding two hammers in Trailer 1, in a moment fans have connected to a real viral incident involving a woman in Los Angeles.
- Thrillbilly Mud Girl: covered in mud and throwing up devil horns in Trailer 1, she reflects the rural party scenes woven through parts of the game.
- Leonida Joker: a man with Joker-style face tattoos, shown in an in-universe Mega Noticias news segment after a neck tattoo helped identify him.
- Nightclub DJ: seen behind the booth at a Vice City nightclub in Trailer 1, part of the city’s broader nightlife scene alongside Boobie Ike’s empire.
- Rudi: shown in a “RIP Rudi” social clip in Trailer 1, bailing out of a speeding pickup seconds before it explodes. Whether he survived the stunt is anyone’s guess.
The Character That Matters Most Before Launch
Lucia is the one to watch. The Bonnie and Clyde framing is useful shorthand, but her backstory is more fully sketched than Jason’s at this point: the Liberty City upbringing, the father who taught her to fight, the prison stint, and the specific hunger for the life her mother wanted. How Rockstar develops her arc will determine whether GTA 6’s dual-protagonist structure feels like a genuine evolution or just GTA V with a different headcount.
FAQ: Things to Know About GTA 6 Characters
A few quick answers to the questions we’re asked most often about this cast.
Who Are the Main Protagonists in GTA 6?
Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson has said the team considered four protagonists before settling on the pair, making this the first GTA story built around a man and a woman as co-leads.
Can We Switch Between Jason and Lucia During Missions?
Yes, for most of the game. In the Extended Look, swapping is instant when they’re together and takes a few seconds when they’re apart, though some story missions lock you to one character. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed the exact button yet.
When Does GTA 6 Release, and Does Australia Get Early Access?
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Going by PS Store listings, Australia unlocks at midnight AEDT on November 19, hours ahead of the US, though Rockstar hasn’t confirmed regional unlock times.
Are the Actors Playing Jason, Lucia, and Cal Confirmed?
No. The names circulating for Lucia (Manni L. Perez), Jason (Dylan Rourke), and Cal (Bobby Moynihan) come from fan analysis of voices and faces, not from Rockstar. The only actor to publicly confirm a part so far is Stephen Root, and his role hasn’t been revealed. Officially, at least. Root said fans recognized his voice from an earlier trailer, and outlets including Variety report that he voices Brian Heder. We’re treating everything else as unconfirmed until the credits roll.
Will GTA 6 Have Microtransactions?
Not in the story mode. Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson has said the single-player game has no real-money purchases and no generative AI. Plans for GTA Online, including any monetization, haven’t been detailed yet.
Wrapping Up
We’ll keep updating this list through the November 19 launch as more of Leonida’s cast is revealed. For now, Jason and Lucia’s story looks like the most fully realized dual-protagonist setup the series has attempted, and the world around them, from Vice City’s music scene to the Keys’ smuggling circuit, gives Leonida a texture GTA hasn’t had before.
