With GTA 6 a little over two months away, we have our first confirmed actor for the highly-anticipated video game. Stephen Root has revealed that he’ll be in GTA 6 after fan speculation.

“Yeah you’re gonna see me in it,” Root said during a red carpet interview with the Associated Press. He went on to say that after the release of GTA 6’s second trailer, fans of King of the Hill recognized his voice, which can be heard early in that trailer.

This makes Stephen Root the first actor confirmed to appear in Grand Theft Auto 6. There has been plenty of speculation based on released footage, but even the actors behind protagonists Jason and Lucia remain a mystery.

Rockstar Games has yet to share any casting news regarding GTA 6. The game is due out on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
